Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains what The Joint Venture (thejointventureshow.com) collects when you use the site, why, and how to delete it.

What we collect

  • Account details — when you create an account: your display name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself).
  • Google sign-in — if you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We do not get your Google password or access to your Gmail, contacts or any other Google data.
  • Comments — the comments you post on Headlines stories, and when you posted them.
  • Email sign-ups — if you join our email list, the email address (and first name, if given) you submit.
  • Basic technical data — like most websites, our servers briefly process your IP address to deliver pages and to stop spam and abuse, and we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.

Why we use it

  • To sign you in and keep you signed in (a secure cookie on your device).
  • To show your display name and profile picture next to your comments. Your email address is never shown publicly.
  • To moderate comments and keep the site free of spam and abuse.
  • To send show updates, only if you joined the email list.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it except with the service providers that run the site, or when the law requires it.

Deleting your account

Signed in, go to Your account and choose Delete my account. That permanently removes your account and all your comments. If you signed in with Google you can also remove The Joint Venture Show from your Google Account’s third-party connections. For anything else, reach us through our Contact page.
