Lil Wayne Says He Has Unreleased Songs With Drake Going Back to 2014

Lil Wayne says he and Drake have a whole bunch of music together that fans have never heard, some of it going back to 2014 and 2015.

The topic came up during the listener emails segment of The Joint Venture Show. Craig Carton read a question from Jaylen in Baton Rouge, who asked about rumors that the two have unreleased material.

Wayne didn't hesitate.

"That is beyond true."

He said the songs piled up simply from the two of them working together, and that he goes through the files every other day.

"We have music from 2014 and 2015, like stuff really unheard stuff."

Asked if fans will ever get to hear any of it, Wayne said, "Oh, of course." He also explained that he keeps working on the old songs himself.

"I don't want to use the word bored, but when I'm doing nothing, I edit that stuff up and just send it to his phone."

Wayne said the point is to let Drake hear the new versions and get him going. When Carton asked whether Drake ever writes back, Wayne said it's the same answer every time.

"When we dropping this, we should drop it."

Wayne did not give a release date or say which songs could come out first.
