DeSean Jackson Says Donovan McNabb Didn't Think He Deserved His Historic Pro Bowl Spot

Jackson says his own quarterback questioned the honor, and he still calls it a little hate.

DeSean Jackson says his former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb made a comment that he didn't deserve one of the biggest honors of his career.

Jackson told the story on The Joint Venture Show when he was asked who the best quarterback he played with was. He named Michael Vick, then brought up McNabb.

He said McNabb kept to himself and was more of a family man, and that he had a little incident with him.

Jackson said it happened after he was picked for the Pro Bowl at two positions.

"I had got selected for the first player in NFL history to start in the Pro Bowl for two positions. It was wide receiver and punt return."

He said McNabb then made a comment that he didn't feel Jackson deserved it.

"Like I'm like, you my quarterback. Why would you say your receiver don't deserve that?"

Jackson said he tries not to go too hard on McNabb, noting that McNabb and Terrell Owens also had their own issue. But he didn't hide how he took it.

"It was a little issue that, you know, I felt like it was a little hate. But at the end of the day was cool. He just was a different cat."

Jackson also joked about how strange it felt coming from the man getting him the ball.

"Bro, you my quarterback. You throwing me the ball. Like, I made Pro."

McNabb's side of the story was not part of the conversation.
